Apple will reveal a list of the 25 most popular apps that have been affected by the XCodeGhost bug, days after it was revealed that its App Store had suffered its first-ever malware attack.
The company is also set to inform users directly if they have downloaded an app affected by XCodeGhost.
The tech giant says it does not believe any personal information, such as bank details and iCloud passwords, have been compromised.
XCodeGhost affects apps created using code that was not downloaded directly from Apple by developers.
This means that it is open to attack from those looking to hack what has until now been a wholly secure service.
The bug has not affected apps outside of China, but is embarrassing for Apple, which prides itself on the rigorous testing process through which it puts all iOS apps.
