Apple’s much anticipated iPhone 5SE could launch as soon as March 15th. That’s the word from sources speaking anonymously with 9to5mac.
While that date could shift, it seems Apple is tentatively planning to invite media to an event which will see the launch of the updated 4–inch iPhone, alongside the new iPad Air 3 and a series of fresh Apple Watch accessories.
The iPhone 5SE will unquestionably be the biggest story of the day. It’s said to come with similar internal specs to the iPhone 6s, including a fast A9 chipset and support for Live Photos.
However, its design is thought to be very much along the same lines as 2013’s iPhone 5s, if a little slimmer and more rounded.
Insiders have suggested it will cost the same as the iPhone 5s. That device starts at £379 SIM–free.
The iPad Air 3 has featured heavily in rumours in recent weeks, with the updated tablet thought to come with an LED flash and a quad–speaker system.
The event will not, however, see Apple fully update its smartwatch. Instead, the Apple Watch is likely to receive a string of new accessories, including updated bands.
